Good Day Kids Fest Gets MAGICAL!
Calling all kids who love whimsy, myths, and magic… Good Day Kids Fest is returning to Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment on Saturday, May 12th from Noon – 4:00 PM! Imagine a huge community festival created for kids, by kids and you’ve got Good Day in mind.
This 11th annual festival just for kids is brought to you by Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment and Rocket City Mom and is THE place to be on a beautiful Spring Saturday. There will be music, food, Nerf battles, kid’s activities around the green, face painting, inflatables, and a scavenger hunt through the Mill.
Mythical & magical costumes encouraged, and we hope you’ll see dragons, fairies, elves, mermaids, trolls, wizards, and maybe even a unicorn or two!
It’s Like a Concert On the Dock Just for Kids!
Headlining the event this year are live music performances by local kids. The AAA Rockers return by popular demand, and join newcomers, Catastropiece, to the Dock Stage. The Huntsville Drumline Stickmasters will close out Good Day again this year with a kid-led parade through Lowe Mill studios.
New this year: Fantasy Playhouse’s Lab 87 Players present a special performance of “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe”, a full show for kids ages 8 and up.

About Good Day Kids Fest
Good Day Kids Fest started over a decade ago, when the artists at Lowe Mill decided to host a day to encourage kids to explore their unique facility. Marcia Freeland, Executive Director at Lowe Mill A&E, is excited about this year’s event. “There is so much for children to do at Lowe Mill now and we want families who have never visited us before to come see what we’re all about.” Currently there are over ten art classes and camps offered to kids at Lowe Mill A&E, from culinary arts to pottery, and everything in-between.
The best part? Admission to Good Day is only a suggested $5 donation for parking and proceeds will benefit Lowe Mill’s future playground!
