Monte Sano Art Festival for Kids
Arts Huntsville’s annual Monte Sano Art Festival has been an enjoyed tradition in Huntsville, Alabama for sixteen years. This year it will continue to feature more than 140 of the region’s finest artists in an array of wonderful media. New this year, and much to the delight of art-loving parents and kids, Spirited Art is offering art activities for families. Parents can enjoy the art while their kids create it – brilliant! There’s also the very kid-friendly state park playground and beautiful hiking trails to enjoy while you’re there for the festival.
Along with the outdoor festival exhibitors, the 2017 Monte Sano Art Festival will also continue to feature local food trucks and musicians throughout the state park. This festival is always a highlight of the arts calendar, and a fun way to be outdoors supporting local artists.

Cost: FREE admission, Monte Sano State Park will charge $10 for parking
Hours: Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Sunday, Sept. 17 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Cost: $25
An artist will walk your “Mini Van Gogh,” through our Starry Night painting, step by step, while you browse the artist’s tents for one of a kind pieces! Drop off your little painter beginning at 9:45 AM (or 12:45 PM) and have up to 2 hours to peruse the artwork. Reservations are recommended, and walk-ins are welcome but, seating is limited. Aprons and painting supplies are provided. However, the paint is permanent when dry. Please dress children in paint friendly clothing.
In the event of rain, a credit will be issued and if there is space available, your reservation can be moved to Sunday’s class or any children’s class at our studio. For questions, please email Liz, at myspiritedart@gmail.com.

Klimt’s Red Circle Tree
Cost: $25
