Happy weekend, Huntsville! It’s another awesome action-packed few days in North Alabama, and there’s plenty of free and/or cheap family-friendly fun to be had. These kid-friendly hands-on workshops designed for children ages 5–12 teach do-it-yourself skills, tool safety, and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment. All kids get to keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement. Today’s craft: a wooden tic-tac-toe board!
Brickapalooza
Saturday & Sunday

Brickapalooza will fill the Downtown Huntsville Library with creativity this weekend! Enjoy elaborate LEGO displays, bingo and trivia games, and ample opportunities to build your own LEGO creations. Duplos and Minecraft will be part of the fun, too. This family-friendly event will showcase models built by members of the Tennessee Valley LEGO® Club, a group of adult LEGO enthusiasts, and local First LEGO League robotics teams. Saturday from (Am – 5PM and Sunday from 1-5 PM.
Learn to Row Day

Rocket City Rowing | More Info
This national event is a chance for the community to be introduced to the sport of rowing. Visitors will tour the boathouse, get a crash course in indoor rowing (erging), along with the basics of the rowing stroke and a brief overview of the equipment used and programs offered at Rocket City Rowing. The visit culminates in an in-the-boat rowing experience guided by experienced coaches (weather permitting). This event is open to all members of the community ages 12 & up.

13th Annual Cigar Box Festival
