A carnival just for kids? Yes, you heard us right and it is NOT TO BE MISSED. Seriously, read our review and you’ll be lining up. Tokens to ride are just $.50 each and all monies go to local charities. A North Alabama tradition that needs to become your family’s summer tradition. Go while you can – the summer carnival is over August 1st.
Friday Morning Food Trucks & Walking Tour

Picture this: you’ve got friends or family staying with you for the holiday weekend. What better way to kick it off than with a morning Breakfast Food Truck rally? Grab your bacon-laden food and then head over to Earlyworks a block away for their 9AM Walking Tour – Spend 30 minutes learning about the history in downtown Huntsville. The cost is $5 per person (free to EarlyWorks Members).
Friday Night Art Walk

There will be more than 60 art vendors selling items such as paintings, jewelry, pottery, photography and so much more! Load up the stroller & head down to the Courthouse Square with the family. It’s a great opportunity to listen to some free live music, support local artists, and just BE at the end of a long week.

Build. Learn. Create. Have fun with Kids Workshops! These hands-on workshops are designed for children ages 5 – 12 & offered the 1st Saturday of every month at all The Home Depot stores. Workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment. All kids get to keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement. Today’s craft – a Minion Scooter! Be sure to reserve your spot in advance.

RUMOR has it – and a mysterious marquee sign – that there will be a fireworks show at The Joe this year, but no one seems able to verify it. Can you help us solve this mystery? We’ve contacted the City of Huntsville, the Sports Commission, and several radio stations with no luck. Leave us a comment if you know something – brownie points if you have a link!

How strange. When I went to post my comment, it said there were 0 comments and I did not see any. I posted mine and came back a little over an hour later and now it’s showing that Amanda posted her comment nearly an hour before mine. Hmmm…Oh, well at least now we all know there is no fireworks at Joe Davis…wish there was though. We watched them there last 4th of July.
