Good Day Kids Fest Gets the Blues
… in all the best ways!
[sws_pullquote_right]GOOD DAY DETAILSSaturday, May 9th
Noon – 4:00 PM
Lowe Mill Arts [/sws_pullquote_right] Lowe Mill’s only festival just for kids has a unique theme this year. All activities are geared toward live blues music, art, gardening, and hands-on activities. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite “blue” jeans, tops, hats, blue suede shoes and dresses to the festival.
Performers include musical headliners Microwave Dave and more great songs from the Alabama Blues Project.
There will be martial arts, music, & dance demonstrations, a puppet show, bouncy inflatables, and even a demo from the hardworking dogs at SARTEC!
Families are encouraged to come out and explore Lowe Mill by participating in an indoor scavenger hunt. Each booth around the green square by the dock will have a fun activity to do together.
Gates will open to the public at Noon and the festival will close at 4:00 PM, with the traditional Good Day Parade around the grounds at closure. In the event of rain, we’ll move the festival inside Lowe Mill.
The event is free for Good Day Kids Fest, however a $7 donation per family (includes parking) is suggested at the door to raise funds for a new playground at Lowe Mill. All proceeds benefit the playground, and no one will be turned away.
Good Night After Hours
Parents are invited to come back after 6PM for the grownup portion of the night – the epic Lip Sync Battle will be worth it alone, but there will also be a Dance Off, retro games, and Grownup Glamour Shots.
