Playdate for RISE School
We’ve written about how lucky we are to have the new RISE School in Huntsville and Madison County before. In case you missed it, RISE is a unique preschool program that is for children with special needs and children typically developing. The program is led by a master’s level teacher and integrates physical, occupational, speech, and music therapy into the curriculum. You can read all about our School Spotlight on this amazing new school HERE.
[sws_pullquote_right]It’s COLD outside – grab your friends and come play at KidVenture for RISE School of Huntsville! [/sws_pullquote_right] This Friday, Leadership Huntsville/Madison County’s Connect 16 Class has invited your family to a community play date at KidVenture to support RISE School. In addition to having all of KidVenture to explore, there will also be face painting, character appearances, puppet shows, food trucks, and live music! It’s a great way to support the work that the teachers and staff do at the school, and half of the proceeds from admission will benefit RISE School directly.A huge variety of raffle prizes will also be up for grabs – to get those you can bring a donation of school supplies (crayons, Clorox wipes, glue sticks, construction paper). The more supplies you bring, the more entires to the raffle you’ll receive! Of course, you can also purchase raffle tickets with cash if you don’t have time to make a supply run.
So grab the kiddos after school this Friday and tell your friends! It’s cold outside, and a great way to 1) get the kids worn out & exercised, 2) support a worthy and local educational program, and 3) feel really good about doing it all.
