Greene Street Market & Children’s Corner
Has your family experienced the Greene Street Market on Thursdays yet? What are you waiting for?
The Greene Street Market at Nativity is more than a standard farmer’s market. In addition to offering vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, prepared meals, cheeses, preserves, relishes, salsas, herbs and flowers, you will find scrumptious homemade baked goods, ice cream and popcicles, as well as artists selling their jewelry and art. There is even a booth making custom wood-fired pizzas using ingredients found at the market. Plus, you can wash it all down with a fruit tea sold at this market too!
Enjoy live music while you eat and shop, and if you go on the fourth Thursday of the month, there is a Children’s Corner with free crafts and activities for kids until 6:00 p.m.
Our Tips
This is a large farmer’s market in downtown Huntsville, so count on a wide variety of items for sale and bring a bag or two with you to carry home your goodies.
Parking is available in nearby parking lots or on the street — we didn’t have any trouble finding close parking despite the large crowds, but bring some change just in case you need to use metered parking.
There is shade from trees to help you stay cool as well as a mist tent! Do make sure you and your kids use the bathroom before you arrive; there are no port-a-potties or public restrooms on the property. You’ll have to walk a block or two and ask a restaurant or shop if you can use theirs.
You can find The Greene Street Market on their Facebook Page to keep up with what is going on from week to week.
