Get Your Family to Good Day Kid’s Fest!
UPDATE: In the event of rain, we’re moving the party indoors! Be sure to join in the Good Day Scavenger Hunt that will help you explore the awesomeness that is Lowe Mill!
What
Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment in partnership with Rocket City Mom is hosting the 6th annual Good Day Kid’s Festival! This year’s theme is “Have a Good Green Day” and all activities are geared toward eco-friendly crafts, art, gardening, and recycling. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite green jeans, tops, shoes and dresses to the festival. It’s the greenest, grooviest festival just for kids in all of north Alabama!
When
Join us on Saturday, May 11th, 2013, from Noon to 4:00 PM at Lowe Mill. Gates will open to the public at noon and the festival will close at 4:00 PM, with the traditional Good Day Parade around the grounds at closure.
Who
Performers include musical headliners Megan Jean and The KFB. Sci-Quest will provide activities as well as Bricks 4 Kids, Love Huntsville, The Huntsville Public Library, United Way, and a variety of other artists with eco-friendly activities for kids. There will be jugglers, hula-hoopers, marital arts demonstrations, and even a pony ride!
How Much
Admission is free and open to the public. A $5 love offering per family is being asked at the door to raise funds for a new playground at Lowe Mill. And we all know that Lowe Mill + A New Playground = Concerts On the Dock just got awesomer.
