Inspiration via the Internet
I don’t know if any of you readers are enjoying these Saturday suggestions for interesting things found on the internet but I am loving being able to share all my “finds” with others. I spend a ridiculous amount of time online and somehow sharing these links makes that time feel a tiny bit more useful.
So this week, some really awful stuff happened (as always) and rather than share that here, I though I would share what made me laugh, cry, and smile. Just a little INSPIRATION to end your week on a high note. Enjoy!

1st Baby at HH Writes Letter to 1st Baby at MH
This first one is local and hopefully many of you have already seen it. If you have, take the time to read it again because it’s really worth it. If you haven’t heard about it yet, basically, this awesome old dude (who was the first birth at Huntsville Hospital) wrote a letter to this awesome new baby (the first birth at Madison Hospital). It’s all kinds of cool.

People Can Be Awesome
So just like the previous link, it’s possible you’ve already seen these “21 Pictures That Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity”. They made their way all over Facebook by the end of the week but if you haven’t already looked, you need to. I cried about half-way into looking at them and I’m pretty sure I can’t blame it entirely on pregnancy hormones as many non-pregnant friends said they also cried. In a good way though. -
940 Saturdays
This article on Motherlode (via the NY Times) certainly put a lot in perspective for me. Stop and smell the roses, seize the day, enjoy your kids while they are kids. You’ve heard the advice over and over but when you are in the thick of it, it truly is hard to appreciate. For me, that number made me sit up and take notice.

Murmuration
I shared this video via Facebook several months ago but whenever I want to just see something beautiful or appreciate the unbelievable majesty of nature, this is my go-to video. NOTE: Because we are a town filled with scientists, here is a link to a Wired article explaining the science behind this video.
