Happy, Carefree Kids Die Sooner
According to USA Today, the recent conclusion of a 90-year longevity study has resulted in some peculiar findings. In a new book about the study called The Longevity Project researchers report that children who were described by their parents as “extraordinarily cheerful and optimistic,” “never sees the dark side” or “never worries” were less likely to live to an old age. They also found that a good childhood personality predictor of longevity was being “prudent, persistent, well-organized” as well as “somewhat obsessive and not at all carefree.”
So this is good news for parents whose children are weirdos. Your weirdos will be around for a long time, certainly long enough to take care of you in your old age. No crappy Medicare retirement home for you. Yeah!
