Community Kite Festival
The Kite Festival 2015 is a wonderful free event organized by AshaKiran and the City of Huntsville along with over 30 co-sponsors to promote awareness, inclusiveness and to impact the total community. There will be over 50 booths participating as well as sales vendors and food vendors. In addition to kite flying, there will be children’s activities, entertainment and music for the whole family.
Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Join us downtown for the 38th Annual Huntsville St. Patrick’s Day Parade! This year’s parade will be our largest one yet and is sure to be a great time for the whole family. The parade starts near the roundhouse goes around the downtown square in Huntsville. Check the website before the parade for a flyer that will give you all the parade details and a parade map. There also will have entertainment at the Courthouse while you get settled into your spots and wait for the parade to start! We are also looking for marchers if you’d like to be IN the parade!
Huntsville Irish Festival
When: Saturday, March 14 at 1-5PM

The Original Public House is sponsoring a FREE Irish Festival immediately following the parade featuring live Irish music, Irish dancing, Guinness, food trucks, bounce house, cornhole and many children’s activities. Performances will be by Fitness Arts Center Irish dancers, Slipjig andBourbon and Shamrocks. Continue the Irish fun right after the parade and head to the Roundhouse!
NEACA Spring Craft Show
Enjoy handmade arts & crafts, toys, and products at this annual Spring Show! Since 1973, NEACA has promoted the study, appreciation, enjoyment and preservation of original handicrafts. The goal is to encourage craftsmen to continue and improve their crafts through workshops, meetings and craft shows. To date, there are nearly 100 individuals registered as members of NEACA offering a wide range of handicrafts.

Heads ‘ N Tails Crawfish Boil
Get ready for Food, Music, and Fun at this now annual foodie event. There will, of course, be crawfish and much, much more available for purchase but did you know you can also enjoy listening to your favorite tunes by Mambo Gris Gris and Nathan & the Zydeco Cha-Chas! PLUS there will be face painting and inflatables for the kids.
A free all-ages event celebrating the STEM education curriculum (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) with an emphasis on how those subjects are used in visual, creative, and performing arts. The event will take place outdoors in the Lowe Mill water tower parking lot as well in the individual studios of artists throughout the building. In case of rain all outdoor activities will be moved into the first floor connector.
Earth Day at Hays
With more than 70 exhibitors at last year’s event, you should expect all that fun and more at the 2015 Earth Day at Hays celebration. There will be a bird outing with John Ehinger 8am (Don’t forget binoculars!). Butterfly Releases at 11am and 1pm, sponsored by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, and “Intro to Fly Fishing” class at Noon with Tn Valley Fly Fishers and you’ll get up close to animals including a Bald Eagle, Falcon, owls, gopher tortoise and more with the Coosa River Science Center. Children attending the festival who visit Burritt on the Mountain’s table will receive a pass for one day good through May 8th.
Bloomin’ Festival is a two day juried arts festival attracting thousands of visitors to the beautiful campus of St. Bernard Abbey and Prep School. Located adjacent to the school is the world famous Ave Maria Grotto. The picturesque landscape of stone cut buildings on the grounds of Alabama’s only Abbey provides a backdrop for the out-of-doors show. More than 140 booths are filled with artists demonstrating and exhibiting their work. The festival is the largest fundraiser annually for the operation and maintenance of the school.
Earth Day Celebration at Monte Sano
When: Sunday, April 19 from 1-5PM

This event will include an Earth Day farmer’s market, eco-friendly vendors and exhibitors, guided hikes with state park employees, EarthCaching, Von Braun Astronomical Society Planetarium shows, forestry and water-conservation demonstrations, rehabilitated wildlife and musical groups.
33rd Annual Panoply of the Arts Festival
When: April 24-26

Each spring in the heart of the Rocket City the arts are in full bloom at the Panoply Arts Festival. The Festival celebrates music, dance, theatre, and the visual arts, making Panoply (as defined by Mr. Webster) a “magnificent, impressive array”! Three days of musical and visual arts, children’s activities, and performances – an experience that should be on every family’s Must List! There will be a fireworks show both Friday and Saturday evening at 9PM.

The BAKE (Baby And Kid Expo) is a free community event for the entire family that highlights local resources with interactive and informative local exhibitors. The BAKE focuses on families with children ages 0-10 years.
Healthy Kids Day
Local kids and families will have the opportunity to engage in some healthy play and activities designed to teach safety during out-of-school time. Put More in, Get More Kid Out! At Healthy Kids Day, the Y is helping bring families and kids together to have fun, be active, learn more and create lasting, healthy habits for the entire family.
Good Day Kids Fest
Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment in partnership with Rocket City Mom is hosting the 8th annual Good Day Kid’s Festival. This year’s theme, “Good Day Gets the Blues”, will feature Microwave Dave and demonstrations from the Alabama Blues Project. Activities include a scavenger hunt throughout Lowe Mill, live music, dance, martial arts, and other demonstrations will also take place throughout the day.

SoulStock is an annual outdoor Christian music and worship event in Decatur, Alabama.
