Founded in 2001, Effective Communication is a private practice that specializes in both adult and pediatric communicative and swallowing disorders. We provide individualized and intensive speech and language therapy.
My son has seen Traci for speech/language therapy for 6 years. Traci works tirelessly to assist her patients make progress in speech and language. She utilizes various methods to work with children to keep therapy interesting and fun. – Lisa M.

Effective Communication has done wonders with my 4 year old son. His speech has improved dramatically since he began seeing Traci Ingram, with new words, phrases & sentences popping up daily! He enjoys his appointments with her, leaving each session a little more confident than before. Sitting in on his sessions, Traci will “guide” me as well with tips and actions that need to be enforced at home to help with his speech. We have many doctors that we like, but the only practice we LOVE is Dr. Scott and Dr. Susan Field at Field pediatrics. It’s a smaller practice, with just the husband and wife doctors. We LOVE that they have walk-in sick clinic the first hour every morning. They remember my children and things going on in our lives and are very personable. And the rare times I’ve had to call afterhours, it’s been the doctors who have returned my calls. I can’t say enough great things about them! – Robin G.

We love Dr. Kevin Ellis @ Huntsville Pediatric Associates. Initially, I needed a pediatrician for my now 13-yr-old, but since then, I also have a newborn. Because she had jaundice when she was a newby, we had to go to the pediatricians office several times! It happened to be during the weekend (of course!) so she was seen by some of the other pediatricians who were on call as well. I have NEVER had a bad experience with Dr. Ellis, or any of his associates. They are super friendly, and take their time with any questions you have. If you are looking for a good pediatrician, you should check them out! You’ll be glad you did! – Sheila C.

My daughter sees Dr. Laue, and we love him. He’s very thorough and has great beside manner with kids. He takes the time to explain things well and is conservative with treatment, but aggressive when he needs to be. I have been happy with all of the doctors we’ve seen in this practice. They have sick appointments available every day, and even on weekends. We have always seen Dr. Laue, unless it was a sick appointment, last minute, and then we just saw whoever was available. Also, they have an “Advice Nurse” for each doctor. If you aren’t sure what to do about anything with your child, or if you should come in, you can call and leave a message for the nurse and they will call you and talk you through whatever the problem may be. (This was awesome when my daughter was a baby. I was clueless about everything.) – Jasmin B.
