You get one of our favorite growing Halloween trends in the Huntsville area – Witches Rides! This year there are tons of different Witch Ride events in North Alabama and you can bring the kids to ALL of them. These fun outdoor events are so much fun to watch, and it’s easy to take in the fall weather while you’re there admiring the different costumes and collecting candy. Just stay clear of the cackling witches as they whiz by the parade route!

The Lauderdale County Good Witches’ Ride is a new LCES Tiger Stripes fundraiser that benefits Lauderdale County Angel Tree. 100% of proceeds will benefit students and families in our community this holiday season.

Canebrake Witches Ride

Join for the 2022 Canebrake Witches Ride (CWR), presented by New Horizion Research Center, on Sunday, October 23rd. Riders dress up as witches, ride broomcycles (bicycles) and broomcarts (golf carts), fly through the Canebrake neighborhood tossing candy to little goblins (kids) at designated areas called Candy Zones. We are asking the Athens/Limestone community to join us in flying for a purpose! The witches fly at 4:00 PM and toss candy to families gathered at designated Candy Zones. The CWR Brew Bash kicks off immediately after the ride with food trucks, DJ, best costume awards, and tons of spooky fun for all! You don’t want to miss the most talked about social and fundraising event in Athens!

Blossomwood Witches Ride

The Blossomwood Witches Ride is a fun bike ride through the neighborhood of Blossomwood. Women dress up as witches, ride their brooms (bikes) and throw candy to the little monsters (kids) along the posted route. ALL children are welcome to come out and enjoy the free candy. Children are asked to be accompanied by an adult to safely walk on the sidewalks while the witches fly by. Although the Ride does proudly carry the Blossomwood name (due to location), witches from anywhere are welcome to ride!!!
