Summer Fest: A Day of Fun For Families
An Event for Families Affected by the Alabama Tornadoes
In partnership with The Josh Willingham Foundation, local parents, businesses and community organizations are working to bring this day of fun and giving to all families affected by the tornadoes on April 27th. This event will be filled with free food, games, crafts and lots of fun! There will also be plenty of toys, canned goods and other supplies to be given out to those in need. There will also be a silent auction including donations from Sci-Quest, Point Mallard, Monaco pictures and more and a free raffle! While the event is free to all, donations will be accepted and 100% of the proceeds from the event will stay in the area to help local families.
Saturday, June 25th
Summer Fest will take place on the Northwest Shoals Community College campus in Phil Cambell. Rain or shine, we will be there to help bring joy to those who have lost so much. The fun will start at Noon. Participants and vendors should arrive by 10 a.m. to set up.
Want to Help?
Do you own a business that can help to provide supplies or sponsor a booth? Are you part of an organization that can help with donations or by providing entertainment? If you can help in any way, please contact Andrea Owensby at andreafansler@aol.com or 256.283.7977. You can also visit the “Be a Sponsor” tab on our Facebook page by clicking here.
Spread the News
Please share this page and our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/summerfestadayoffun) with your friends and help us to get this information out to as many families as possible. This day of fun is to help the displaced children and their families have a distraction from what they are going through for one afternoon. The more people who know about it, the more joy it will bring. While victims of the tornadoes are our primary guests, this is a day of fun for ALL families so please come out and support this wonderful event.
