Local Education Expo Provides Parents with Information and Kids with Tons of Fun

There’s an education expo coming to town this weekend. Some parents are reading this and already getting out their calendars and marking the date. Bravo. We can’t wait to see you. We also get that those two words alone “education” and “expo” don’t excite every parent and maybe you need a little more of a hard sell. Happy to oblige. Here are four reasons not only to come to next week’s Learning Expo but get excited about coming to next week’s Learning Expo.

#1 – You’re very best friends that you’ve maybe never met will be there.

That’s right, the Rocket City Mom staff and many of its writers will be on hand to lead you through the days adventure and if you haven’t already met us, we’d love to see you. We’ll even take pictures and post them on our Instagram page – #selfie. Meeting our readers in person is always a thrill for us and we hope for you too.

#2- Coming to this expo will save you time, money, and maybe help your marriage.

The Problem: Education is a complex and incredibly important issue for today’s parents but today’s parents are crazy busy and don’t always have the time to visit and investigate every available education option.

The Solution: Put all of the Tennessee Valley’s education options in one place so mom and dad can visit them all in a few short hours AND while they’re busy collecting this information, give the kids plenty of entertainment too!

We’re not saying we can solve ALL your problems but we can promise that education decisions will be a lot easier for you to make together after attending this expo.

#3 – Admission to the expo AND Earlyworks Children’s Museum is FREE!

Not only is the expo entirely free but after you’ve perused the many exhibits, chatted up the exhibitors, and had all your education-related questions answered, we invite you to enjoy the rest of the museum and its many treasures. If you’ve been to the museum before then you know what a treat that is, and if you haven’t then hold onto your hats because it’s a whole lot of time-traveling fun packed into one day! Dress up in pioneer clothing! Hear stories from a talking tree! Try your hand at building in the Kidstruction Zone or explore a 46-foot Keelboat!

The riverboat is a kid favorite.

#4 – Great Fun for a Great Cause.

Did we mention that all the proceeds from this event are donated to local non-profit education and education-related organizations and projects? Previous year’s beneficiaries have included the Huntsville Madison County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, The Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre, Sci-Quest, the Space and Rocket Center, Free 2 Teach, and last year we were able to donate more than $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Alabama. So…when you come out and support this expo it’s a win/win because you are not just helping your family but other local families as well.
