Head outdoors on Tuesdays in June and July to discover the Huntsville area’s unique biodiversity protected by Land Trust of North Alabama nature preserves during Tuesdays on the Trail.
Firefly Garden Hike
Date/Time: Tuesday, June 6, 13, 20, & 27 | 6:30 PM & 7:30 PM

Location: Huntsville Botanical Garden
Join the Huntsville Botanical Garden for a special guided hike featuring the amazing fireflies that call the Garden home! These intriguing insects are most active as the sun is setting and it starts to get dark. You'll learn about their life cycle and how you can create a habitat for them in your own backyard.
Sounds of Summer Concert Series

Free Fishing Day

Alabamians and out-of-state visitors alike will have the opportunity to fish for free in most public waters including both freshwater and saltwater. Free Fishing Day allows residents and non-residents to enjoy the outstanding fishing Alabama has to offer without purchasing a fishing license.
Knit in Public Day and Yarn Swap

A Day for Dads

Worldwide Knit in Public Day at the South HSV Library

The Huntsville Fiber Guild invites everyone to Knit in Public Day at the library. Bring your own projects to work on or learn about spinning, knitting and yarn. Knitting is for all ages, so bring your children to teach them a new skill.
