Tumbleweed Suite Combines Old West Grit with Classic Ballet

The Huntsville Ballet Company will debut the Tumbleweed Suite this month as a part of the HBC Unplugged series. This performance is the world premiere of choreography by Artistic Director, Phillip Otto. Otto has served as Artistic Director since 2008. His training includes the School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and Joffrey School in New York.

The Old West Meets Classical Ballet at Unplugged: Tumbleweed Suite

The program will intertwine the grit of the old west, American folk dancing, and classical ballet – a combination sure to thrill and inspire the audience. As with prior HBC Unplugged shows, Tumbleweed Suite is set to upbeat music and colorful costumes.

As an added bonus, the choreographer and dancers will participate in a question-and-answer session after each performance.
