Up a Creek is looking to hire parents that love having fun
As a parent it can be hard to find that work/play balance. With rock climbing walls, a surf simulator, a tree house, and more, everyday can feel like an adventure at Up a Creek, and luckily, they are also looking to hire! The cherry on top? It’s the perfect job for moms and parents!
Why parents should consider a position at Up a Creek
Up a Creek currently has four part-time positions open at their Huntsville and Madison locations: after school counselors, summer camp counselors, and party hosts. With weekend, after school, and flexible hours, these positions are perfect for parents with school-aged kids. College students are also a great fit, and high school students can apply for the summer camp counselor and party host positions.
What qualifications do you need for the job? One of the most import things is a love for kids! You can read more about each individual position below to see which may be the perfect fit for you.
After School Counselor:
This one is all about having fun! If you love working with kids, you’ll never feel like this is a job! Our after school program takes place in either of our indoor play facilities! You will be responsible for supervising and playing with Pre-K thru 5th graders during after school hours. Keeping the facility clean is also part of the job. A valid Alabama driver’s license and CLEAN driving record is required for candidates 19 and older. One important responsibility is to drive our 15 passenger van to pick up kids from school!
Summer Camp Counselor:
If exploring is your jam, this job is for you. Summer camp is filled with daily field trips all around North Alabama. We keep the kids very active and outdoors as much as possible. We are looking for workers aged 19 and up that can drive to field trips as well as 19 and under. The camps run from 7:30 a.m-5:30 p.m. Hours/ days can be somewhat flexible.
Party Host:
This position is for weekends only. We host private parties on Friday evenings, all day Saturday and Sundays too. Our party hosts need to be super outgoing and willing to help. Parties are fun and very energetic. We love to have happy parents that can sit back, relax, and enjoy their child’s party without worrying about the small stuff.
