Madison Color Run Brings Spring Colors to North Alabama
If dyed Easter eggs are not festive enough for you, consider adding a pop of color to your run this March! The Madison Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their first annual Chamber Color Run and Health Fair on March 27 just in time for Spring.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for some healthy fun for the entire family, a color run can be an exciting addition to your calendar. Run through the streets of Downtown Madison during the certified 5K event and enjoy the bursts of color and fresh air. It’s also the perfect chance to involve the littles in healthy habits by taking them along in strollers or signing them up for the 1 mile fun run!
The 5K will begin at the Madison City School Stadium winding through downtown before returning to the stadium at the end of the course. In addition to the race competition, Madison City schools can compete for a cash prize by having the most students, teachers, family or staff members participate in the run. Even strollers are welcome at the event and those that would prefer to walk can still enjoy the excitement and color. Registration for the race is open through March 23.
If all the race day excitement works up an appetite, be sure to stick around for the health fair and enjoy food trucks, vendors, activities and more!
