Huntsville camps offer virtual options for kids this summer
Social distancing is the name of the game for #Summer2020 and these virtual camps have that covered. While there are several options for IRL (in real life) camps happening in our area, some local parents are are concerned about letting their little ones frolic about and want to keep the kids closer to home for a bit longer.
These local virtual camps offer a great alternative and ensure kids who are social distancing can learn something new and have a lot of fun doing it.
Camp Maranatha
This popular area day camp has been a special place for more than four generations of campers. While the regular camp experience isn’t happening this summer they have moved things online and are publishing weekly episodes on Tuesdays to keep campers and alumni engaged.
Each week, they’re highlighting camper favorites with several fun camp activities: Energizers (morning dances to get the blood flowing), Demos that highlight some camper favorite spots around camp, Skits, Activities (coloring pages, and some crafts coming up in future weeks), and more!
