  • It’s so hard to pick a favorite! I remember doing a John Williams concert in high school band. Everyone had to audition to scream for “Jaws.” I was terrified. LOL

  • “The Imperial March” from The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite work of his!

  • How do you pick a favorite!? He’s been writing music since I was a kid … Star Wars and ET … and now my kids love him too … Harry Potter and Mission Impossible! I’ll say Hymn to the Fallen. It still makes me cry.

  • It’s hard to pick just one. John Williams has composed so many epic pieces. If I had to choose one, it would be “Duel of the Fates” from Star Wars Episode I. The combination of the orchestra and choir makes the piece haunting.

  • Favorite has to be the intro to Star Wars. I can’t help but smile when I see the words “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” then the fanfare starts and title scrolls up.

  • I love the theme to Indiana Jones and Superman but Star Wars has to be the most epic!!!

  • Definitely a tie between Star Wars and Harry Potter. All of his music is so iconic though!

  • OG Superman theme is always classic. Hate tickets were so spaced out I couldn’t get 3 together for myself and my girls.

  • How could you make us choose a favorite? Mischief Managed is one of my favs. Our family loves Harry Potter!

  • I very vividly remember hearing the Star Wars open theme the first time when I was 9 years old. The build up of the music gave me chills. To this day my heart skips a beat when those initial bars of music are played. My kids (who I would take to this) could hum the Imperial March while still in the crib (proud parenting moment was hearing my daughter at 2 years old singing the Imperial March over the baby monitor).

  • Wow! That’s a hard one! I guess for me it would be a toss up between “Lost in Space” theme, “Hedwigs theme”, and “Indiana Jones” theme. I’m a John Williams fan from way back!

  • Wow, that’s a hard choice! Has to be a toss up between “Lost in Space” theme, “Hedwig’s Theme”, and “Indiana Jones”.

  • The Imperial March is so iconic, but Hedwigs Theme just makes me happy. Thanks for a giveaway 😁

  • The Imperial March is my favorite but anything John William’s has created is awesome.

  • I love so many of his movie scores that it’s hard to choose a favorite! Movies like The Patriot and Far and Away, the music just grabs you by the emotions and drives you where it wants! But I would have to say Harry Potter, because of the time I have spent enjoying that with my daughter.

  • Mine is Imperial March.. my boys like favorite is Hope because “it’s the song where Vader kicks everyone’s butt”

  • Mine is Imperial March but my kids like Hope because “its the one where Vader kicks everyone’s butt”

  • I will always be a huge Harry Potter nerd but I am learning to love Star Wars and his work as much.

  • You’re kidding right? A single favorite John Williams song? How about an often overlooked tune that I would say is my favorite Christmas song of his. Somewhere In My Memory from the original Home Alone always brings me to tears. That song deserves more love.

  • It will always, always, always be Hedwig’s Theme. I will never forget the very first time I heard it. I was 11 years old and had been reading and re-reading the few Harry Potter books that were out at the time nonstop since I was 8. They were such a wonderful and magical escape from a pretty bad home life and a school filled with bullies. Those books meant everything to me.

At the midnight premiere of Sorcerer’s Stone, as those first few simple notes began to play, I could not believe how perfect everything was. The casting, the locations, the tone, everything. They had actually managed to capture the magic of something so precious to me and bring it to life. I can’t even begin to tell you how special that was.

I listened to a podcast not long ago where Chris Columbus, the director of Sorcerer’s Stone, spoke about the first time Williams played Hedwig’s Theme for him on a piano at his home and how he instantly knew it was perfect. Just imagining that moment made me burst into tears.

Hedwig’s Theme is so important to me that I plan to walk down the aisle to it at my wedding one day. John Williams is a master of his craft, and I will always be a diehard fan!

  • Do I have to pick? No harry potter, star wars, et, Jurassic park I love all his work

  • It would have to be Jurassic Park! But he has made so many contributions to music soundtracks.

  • It would have to be Harry Potter. It used to be my ringtone. 🙌🏻

  • Um, all of them. But Schindler’s list, Home Alone, and Superman are top!

  • I’ll have to say Hymn to the Fallen is one of my favorites. And of course the Imperial March!

  • Definitely Star Wars! Our wedding recessional was the Star Wars throne room theme song! I would love to go see this concert!

  • While it’s difficult to choose a single John Williams favorite, I have near tired of listening to the Jurassic Park Theme. Specifically, the music that plays just as they pull up in the Jeeps and the Brachiosaurus is revealed!

  • As a long time band geek, I personally have several favorites! My 11-year-old daughter just started band this year playing the baritone. She is so excited about learning an instrument and the opportunity to see a live orchestra perform songs she recognizes and loves will only help to increase her newfound passion for music and encourage her to continue to pursue her musical abilities.❤

  • It is so hard to choose so I will give each of our faves. We started on John Williams music with Star Wars of course. My oldest has learned to play several of the pieces on piano. He couldn’t pick a favorite so he chose all the Star Wars music.
My daughter’s favorite is the ET soundtrack.
My favorite is the Home Alone song Candles in the Window. My husband’s favorite is Jurassic Park.

    • Congrats, Amy! You are our random winner! Please check your email and reply to the one we went to claim your tickets.

  • I would have to say the main theme from “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”

  • We love the Harry Potter theme. 🦉⚡ What a fun night this would be!!

  • John William’s Schindler’s List.
Each time I hear it, I think of my children & grandchildren; today, more-so than ever.
I see the numbers tattooed on the arms of elderly relatives & people I have met.
I cry for all who have been through their own country’s holocaust, for it still continues.

  • Hard choice, but I love Princess Leia’s Theme!!
My children have grown up listening to his music and this would be a thrill for our family!

  • John Williams has shaped so many memories for me. I think my favorite score would have to be Home Alone, it just feels me with so much joy and anticipation of Christmas.

  • His work in Indiana Jones has always been my favorite but my kids say Harry Potter!

  • My kids say Hedwig’s Theme which I also love, but my favorite is Flight to Neverland!

  • My kids say Hedwig’s theme which I also love, but my favorite is Flight to Neverland!

  • My family loves the Emperial March from Stars Wars: Empire Striks Back. We all get so excited and amped up when it comes on cause we know who’s coming next… Darth Vador!!!

  • John Williams has scored some of my favorite movies. I think Jaws is my favorite because it’s still played today and I flash to Jaws every time!

  • John William’s Schindler’s List.
The music floods me with emotion for my children & grandchildren. I think about the tattoos that displayed the numbers on the arms of my mothers relatives & people I’ve met. I cry for those today who are in the mist of their country’s holocaust.

  • There isn’t a John Williams piece that I don’t like! He is so talented and has some of the most iconic soundtracks ever! I love to listen to his music as well as play it myself. If I had to pick one, it would have to be the Indian Jones theme.

  • The 1977 original score to Star War:A New Hope is my favorite growing up. I first heard it on Christmas Day when I was a kid at my uncle’s house. When my wife was pregnant with out daughter, I hummed that score to my wifes oregnant belly and we were so amazed when we could see the kicks and movements. My daughter is two years old and I hum it occassionally in which she would repeat the melody.

  • For me: Star Wars. For my kids: Harry Potter. Although my favorite (which I don’t know the title of) was an orchestral piece I played in band. It was amazing to be part of creating the music John Williams wrote.

  • There are some many choices! The Star Wars and Indiana Jones themes are iconic.

  • So many to choose from, but my favorite is Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter. It’s been my ringtone for a long time and I smile every time I hear it.

  • So many good ones to choose from, but my favorite is Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter. It’s been my ringtone for a long time and I never get tired of hearing it.

  • My introduction to John Williams music was when I first saw Star Wars (yes, in a theater)! The music set the tone for the adventure that was about to unfold. That music has continued to invoke the spirit or adventure and good vs evil from the first note that is played.

  • I LOVE the genius that is John Williams. I have so many favorites but this time of year my favorite Williams piece is Somewhere in My Memory (as heard in Home Alone).

  • Picking a favorite is so difficult! I don’t think there’s one I don’t like. Hedwig’s Theme is one of my top picks, though.

  • My favorite piece of John Williams music is “Hedwig’s Theme”. I absolutely loved the Harry Potter books when they first came out and I read them over and over. I remember the trailer for the first Harry Potter movie. I was in middle school, and I had never been more excited to see a movie. Every time I hear that song I feel a small bit of that excitement again.

  • We love all of John Williams music. My absolute favorite is all of his Star Wars music, but I love love love his Harry Potter songs.

  • How can you possibly pick just one? John William’s music has been the theme of my life! If I only pick one…it has to be E.T. The Flying Theme. That was so uplifting!

  • I love Hedwigs Theme, but really just love all his work. Please pick me, my special needs son loves music and would enjoy.

  • There are so many wonderful score John Williams has composed over the years from Jaws to Jurassic Park to the Star Wars franchise. But my favorite piece is the end credits to Close Encounters of the Third Kind where he interpolates the song “When You Wish Upon a Star”.

  • It’s hard to choose but I love Mischeif Managed and the Indiana Jones theme!

  • I used to listen to “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” soundtrack on repeat after the movie came out! I’ll never forget the feeling I had in the theater after hearing “Buckbeak’s Flight” for the first time.

  • This is a hard one. I love the music from Home Alone as well as E.T and Jurassic Park.. I would say E.T is my favorite.

  • Awesome star wars themes. Love all his work
Cant have a favorite when every piece is masterful!
