Zombies Invade the Library
IT’S A FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL AT THE LIBRARY! The Zombies v. Humans Teen Masquerade Ball is coming up at the Huntsville Public Library downtown.
Moody, slow to get moving, always hungry… sometimes our teenagers resemble zombies. On Saturday, Oct. 29, from 8 p.m. till midnight, the resemblance becomes even clearer as the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library gathers teens from across the county at the Downtown Huntsville Library for the Zombies v. Humans Teen Masquerade Ball.
Nerf Wars + Prom
This year’s Teen Masquerade Ball will kick off with a game of Zombies v. Humans (bring your own Nerf gun for maximum fun). A Zombie Prom will follow, and will feature cosplay contests, lip-sync battles, zombie makeup effect artists, prizes, refreshments and more.
“The Library is happy to provide a safe, age-appropriate event for teens and tweens to celebrate Halloween,” said Mandy Pinyan, youth services coordinator and outreach manager. “We’ve been doing this for 8 years now, and it just keeps getting better.”
Tickets are on sale now at store.hmcpl.org. Prices are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Ages 12-18; parents may pick up and drop off, or wait in the parking lot, but are not allowed to stay at the Ball. Security will be provided by the Huntsville Police Department.
