Rocket City Fair
Thursday-Monday
Cost: $7 (adults), $5 (5-12), 4 and under FREE

In addition to the carnival rides and games, there will be a petting zoo and lots of various shows and attractions including a “Lady Houdini”, motorcycle acts and a “Stunt and Thrill Show”. Not to mention all the delicious fair food! The Rocket City Fair offers an unlimited ride pass and a Huntsville Stars baseball game all 5 days, with 1/2 price admission to fair with game stub!
Concert On the Dock
Friday from 6-9 PM
Cost: $2 to park
Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment (map)
Come on down to Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment for Concerts on the Dock – the free eclectic Friday night concert series! It is a family and pet friendly event so bring your dogs on leashes, lawn chairs, picnics, dancing shoes and hula hoops. This week Deering and Down are coming to the dock from Memphis, TN. Their music fuses a smoky Memphis flavor cast in a glow of shimmering northern light.
Alabama Jubilee Festival
Saturday & Sunday

Looking for a way to kick-off your Memorial Day celebrations? Check out the 38th annual Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic – it’s an event that will leave your family breathless! Stroll Through the Flowers

Rainbow Mountain in Madison (map)
We love these guided hikes hosted by The Land Trust of North Alabama! Doug Horacek leads this slow mountain stroll that includes stops to learn more about the wildflowers and a visit to famous Balance Rock. Wear long pants with sturdy, close-toed shoes – dogs are welcome but must be on leads. The group will meet in the parking lot just south of the water tower.
Do Some Star Gazing
