Cosmic Carols & Cocoa Beneath a Rocket
Caroling takes on a space theme as the U.S. Space & Rocket Center hosts Cosmic Carols and Cocoa on Sunday, December 8, 2019, beneath the Saturn V Rocket in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration.
Beginning at 1 p.m., the Huntsville Junior League’s Rainbow Rhythm Band will perform live holiday music. While listening to the festive music, families can decorate out-of-this-world cookies, create holiday crafts and investigate the science of snowflakes.

[/sws_blockquote_endquote] After visitors create their holiday masterpieces, they can grab a cup of hot cocoa and sit down with Mrs. Claus for a reading of “The Polar Express,” a holiday favorite about a young boy who boards a magical train headed to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. To top it off, add The Polar Express movie for only $5, playing in the National Geographic Theater at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. With proof of membership, all museum members receive FREE admission to The Polar Express.

“This event is one of the many activities we host here at the Center for families,” said Pat Ammons, spokesperson for the Center. “We love sharing the incredible collection of space memorabilia here, but we also know learning comes in many forms, especially for young children. Cosmic Carols is just one more way to connect to the community in the best venue the Rocket City has to offer.”
