MALLiday Fun

You know the holidays are official when the malls start to deck their halls – the concept of a sparkly Christmas village set up in the middle of the town shopping center has been around since Macy’s introduced it in 1870.
Huntsville is lucky enough to have two great indoor malls to continue this American holiday tradition, and both are kicking off the season with Santa celebrations this weekend!
Madison Square
The Jolly Old Elf will make his debut at The Children’s Place from 9:00-9:45AM for a meet & greet and Holiday Preview Party. He will arrive at his Holiday Home in the center court of the mall for a brief story time with children at 10:00AM and remain there thru Christmas Eve. Each child who visits Santa will receive a free gift.
Parkway Place Mall
Santa arrives on Saturday with a PJ Party with Santa at 10AM. Children will enjoy Great American Cookies and Purity Milk, a special story time with Santa with a book created just for this event. All children under the age of 12 who wear pajamas will receive a free “Santa’s Magic” Pillow Case. “We hope that we are adding another wonderful tradition to the Holiday Season for families in the Tennessee Valley,” said Jana Kuner, Group Marketing Director for CBL & Associates Properties.
Your little one will also get to meet other characters like Cindy Lou Who, The Grinch, Bearemy and the Chick-fil-A Cow. Santa will be at Parkway Place November 10th – Christmas Eve at his Holiday Home on the lower level near Dillard’s department store.
The arrival of Saint Nick is just the beginning of mall festivities. Chick-fil-A’s Breakfast with Santa is November 17th at 8:30 AM in the Food Court at Parkway Place. This event will include a Santa Letter Station, ornament and greeting card crafts, music, dance, and appearances by Bearemy and the Chick-fil-A Cow. Registration is required at ParkwayPlaceMall.com and proceeds benefit Kids to Love.
“This year our Breakfast with Santa event will benefit the Kids to Love organization so families will know that while they enjoy a fun event with their children monies are also being raised to make Christmas special for foster children in our area too,” said Jana Kuner.

My son is our family’s biggest train fan!
Are we supposed to say who is the biggest train fan or did you forget to change the question from yesterday? Anyway, my daughter loves trains and she loves Santa, we go visit him multiple times a season.
LOL – you caught my mistake! I corrected it in Rafflecopter but it must have been after your comment was posted. Either way – your comment counts and it’s an entry for you!
My girls have never had their picture taken with Santa. We were going to try last year, but they were terrified when we got too close. This year they’re 2.5 so maybe we’ll have better luck!
So many great things for kids this holiday season! We love living in North Alabama!
My little guy has never had his picture taken with Santa. I don’t think he’d be scared though.

Both of my kids (2 and 4) love Santa and are not a bit scared of him… They never have been~ My daughter is so ready to see Santa this year and I plan on carrying them to see him but I will not have money to spend on pictures this year after losing my job:( I hope we win this package!!! But even if we dont we will enjoy just being together and visiting Santa~ I love Christmas!!!
My little girl was scared of Santa when she was a little younger but now she loves him! My little boy is two so we will get to see how he likes it!
My oldest two always loved Santa. My youngest though is still unsure of him. She likes him far away. We got our first picture of him and her last year (at age 3) without her crying. The one the year before was HYSTERICAL! my most favorite Santa picture ever. She’s screaming and he’s making a scared face!! LOL
My daughter isn’t a fan, but isn’t terrified of being up close & personal with Santa. Last year, I let her hold a lollipop during the photo and she was allowed to enjoy it at home afterward. It worked for us! I’m hoping neither kid needs a lollipop this year! Hoping for big smiles!
Both my boys LOVE going to see Santa!
My daughter is head over heels for Santa!
