I brought my 16 year old daughter and 5 of her friends for a ‘Sweet 16′ party. It was a surprise to all of them and they absolutely loved it. I was impressed by how much fun they had and how good each of their paintings turned out. It made me and my husband both want to come back and do a class ourselves sometime. I’m glad your business is doing well, and hope it continues to thrive. We’ll be telling our friends about it! – Kay C.

If a children’s theatre studio could secure a Tony Award, All Things Theatrical, Inc. of Madison, Alabama could. And yes, it’s that good.

The children’s shows here are so good – and they’re not just “good kid shows” either. Parents and other friends and guests will enjoy seeing the diversity of students and a variety of “triple threat” actors, dancers and singers, supported by agile, supportive adult production staff that help prepare these youngsters for performing in one of the most professional venues in North Alabama, The Von Braun Center Playhouse.

All Things Theatrical, led by Ms. Diann Dowdy, is a terrific place for children, whether they are shy and need to break out of their shell, or if they are really chatty and just need some focus. Aside from Ms. Dowdy’s excellent credentials, relevant education and real-world performance experience, she is creative and a joy to talk with as well. She is warm, friendly and approachable to children and parents.

Finally, the hidden gem of All Things Theatrical: they are committed to training the next generation of actors, and their Advanced Teen Program (A.T.P.) helps supplement or can even work in place of (if desired) high school theater programs as well. The A.T.P. prepares students who are considering pursuing a college degree or a career in the entertainment industry. The theater helps teens with pursuing scholarships, interviews and auditions like a professional.

As a parent of a very creative child who loves to entertain, I can honestly say that All Things Theatrical has been a blessing for my family. I highly recommend anyone with a child aged 4-17 try out a season. – Ana W.

My daughter has been taking Karate classes here since they opened in 2013 and she absolutely loves it. They keep the class size small and each child gets individualized attention. They teach real karate and self-defense and as a result the kids learn respect, discipline and it builds up their confidence too. They also have so much fun!! – Vickie

We love Madison Martial Arts. My son is about to turn 5 and loves taking karate classes there. The classes are small so the students are able to get one on one interaction with the instructors. Sensei Russell and Sensei Morgon are patient and take their time to make sure the kids are doing the moves correctly. I knew the first time we tried a class that this was the best place for us. There is no sparring. They teach the kids how to get away from someone if they grab them, so they are learning self defense techniques as well as karate. – Stephanie W.
