Huntsville weekend

Guess what?

Everyone in Huntsville is crawling out of their winter caves and raring to go, go, GO! There’s so much to do in Huntsville & Madison County this weekend we had to put together a special MEGA edition of our Weekend Roundup just for you.

So load up the kids. Start your engines, and get ready for the best list of family-friendly fun in North Alabama! We tried to keep most of what you’ll find below free and/or cheap, but there are a few “Treat Yo’ Self” events to consider as well. Even if you don’t find something your family will like on this page, be sure to look through our entire Event Calendar for more fun.

And if you haven’t started checking off things from the Spring Must List… what are you waiting for?

Saturday from 8AM – Noon

Madison City Farmer’s market (map)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Alabama produce time! We love farmer’s market season – so much that we devote an entire Page to it. The Madison City Farmer’s Market is kicking off the spring harvest this weekend; early markets usually have lettuces, turnip greens, collard greens, green onions, asparagus, and other Spring crops. Local farmer’s markets are a great opportunity to talk to your kids about supporting farmers & eating healthy foods, plus many of them have music and other fun activities throughout the year.
