In lieu of a family vacation or staycation, my family decided to take a day trip to Chattanooga. I love how close it is to North Alabama! If you have younger children or grandchildren in your family, you should make plans to check out the Creative Discover Museum, located in downtown Chattanooga and very close to the Tennessee Aquarium and great restaurants.

I was so excited for the taste of fall that we experienced last weekend. There was a chill in the evening air, friends were posting pumpkin recipes on Facebook and we spent several hours at the Redstone Arsenal Oktoberfest. Thanks to the local school systems, this year we are able to plan a Fall Break Vacation without having to pull the kids out of school! As always, the beach will be a popular destination.
