Lyon Family Farms (Taft, TN)
Located just over the Tennessee border, this farm is open on September 22. Hours are Wed-Fri 2-7 PM, Sat 9 AM-6 PM, and Sun 1-6PM. It offers a pumpkin patch, hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo, pillow bounce, monster slide, games, rat and pig races, and more. All guests paying regular admission in September and receive one free Bounce Back Pass for free admission to use in October, and Bounce Back Passes purchased in October cost just $6!

4D Farm (Cullman, AL)
Opening September 29, the 2017 hours are Fridays 2PM-6PM, Saturdays 10AM-6PM, Sundays 1PM-6PM. Come on down and enjoy the jumping pillow, cow train, two story play barn, walk through the maze, hayride to the pumpkin patch, 80 ft slide, farm animals, pig races, rubber duck races, sand pit, tire mountain, farm animals, 250ft ziplines, spider web and more. Down on the Farm (Rainesville)
Opening September 23, the 2017 hours at this Rainsville farm will be Fridays 4PM-9PM, Saturdays 10AM-9PM, and Sundays 12PM-6PM as well as for field trips throughout the week. Activities include a corn maze, pumpkin painting, hayrides, a simulated milking cow, lots of playground fun for the little ones and a farm animal petting zoo – plus a great gift shop full of fall decor and delicious edibles! New this year are a pony hops, corn hole, and rope maze.

Gullion Farms (Somerville)
Guillon Farms is a 29 year old working farm owned by Steve and Tammy Guillon. Open year-round for field trips and birthday parties, this farm boasts milking a cow, hay rides, petting zoo, fishing, sweet shop, pumpkin picking, and all of the fall fun your heart desires. They will be open to the public every Saturday in October from 10AM-4PM and as well as for scheduled field trips during the week. Lunch specials are also available, as well as night hay rides and campfire specials for groups.

Sand Mountain Corn Maze (Sardis City)
Visit the Sand Mountain Corn Maze for a good old-fashioned country fall fun, including wagon rides, pumpkin picking, cow train rides, corn blasters, duck races, slides, corn pits, play barn, and a playground! Adults and older teens can take part in the Zombie Splatter Fridays through Sundays after dark for $15, where players take a 15 minute wagon ride through Zombieville to take out as many zombies and other targets as they can with a paintball gun. New for 2017 are the Pumpkin Bumpin Balls (Knockerball). Opens September 22 at 4PM. Hours are Tues. and Thurs. 4PM – 9:30PM; Fri. 4PM – 10PM; Sat. 10AM – 11PM, and Sun. 1PM – 9PM.

McGee Farm (Florence)
Open September 30-October 31, this family farm advertises itself as “Country Atmosphere” and the owners encourage you to “sit under our big oak and listen to the country sounds.” Take a 20-30 minute trip to the real pumpkin patch where you can see and pick small and large pumpkins right off the vine. Children and also feed the chickens, see baby goats, jump on the big pillow and pick cotton. They also have thousands of mums and a great selection of traditional fall decorations to select from at reasonable prices. They are celebrating their 19th year, so go out and have a visit! Open weekdays 3PM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-6PM and Sundays 1PM-5PM.

Scarecrow Trail (Huntsville Botanical Gardens)
The Scarecrow Festival at the Garden is a favorite fall event visited by over 60,000 guests each year! Walk through the Garden and see all the great creations, now through October 31st.The Pumpkin Patch offers a wonderful backdrop for your fall family photos on our vintage tractor and unique pumpkin displays. It’s the perfect spot to catch the weekend hayrides around the Garden. A wonderful new addition to the Scarecrow Trail is the Gilded Gourd display, where lots of creative artists have decorated tons of gourds that will be on display! Weekend hayrides add to the fun, available on Saturdays and Sundays from 1PM-4PM.

Punkin’ Pickin’ Extravaganza
Now in it’s fifth year, this train is sure to be a fun day for the whole family! An alternative to the traditional pumpkin patch, the North Alabama Railroad Museum is combining the thrill of picking a pumpkin with the excitement of a train ride! Riders will be allowed to disembark from the train at Normal and enter a punkin’ patch. The children will be allowed to select a pumpkin (included in the price of their ticket) and take it back to Chase on the train and then home.
