Spring has come super early to Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley! Everywhere you look trees are budding, birds are singing, and tulips and daffodils are sprouting up from the ground. We think it’s the PERFECT time to roll out our much-anticipated Spring Activity Guide! If you love festivals, parades, egg hunts, Easter events, concerts, farmer’s markets, and special performances, you’ll want to check it out. AL FIRST® LEGO® League Championship

Teams of kids ages 9 to 14 are challenged to design their own solution to current scientific problems, then build LEGO®robots that perform autonomous “missions.” In the process, they develop valuable life skills and discover exciting career possibilities in science and technology. Come watch 36 advancing Alabama teams compete with their robots and research projects at the Alabama FIRST® LEGO® League Championship!
Build a Rain Gauge

Join this hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a rain gauge house, so your budding scientist can measure the rain dropped by spring storms. Once the gauge is built, your child can paint their project to personalize it. All kids get to keep their craft and receive a certificate, apron, and pin!
International Festival

Take a tour around the world without ever leaving home! This fun school festival is open to the public and will feature food and demonstrations from countries like Italy, the Philippines, Romania, India, Medieval Europe, and more! It’s also a great chance to see CDS and hear more about their Forest School program.

Two bouts for the price of one! Come cheer on Huntsville’s junior roller derby team (ages 8-18), the Rocket City Rebels as they play against Charleston’s Holy City Rollers. Then stay for more hard hitting action as the adult team, Dixie Derby Girls rumble against Evansville Indiana’s Demolition City. These bouts are very athletic and family-friendly.
