Come one, come all, to the next installment of Huntsville’s Nerd Rummage Sale! The general theme is nerdy stuff like comic books, electronics, computers, costumes, action figures and more. Refreshments will be provided.

Opus Tadpole

Children can have fun discovering the answers to these musical questions and more during twenty-minute Opus Tadpole presentations, entertaining and interactive ways for our youngest listeners to learn about the instruments of the orchestra. Grownups may also learn a thing or two!

Huntsville’s St. Patricks Day Parade

The 39th Huntsville St. Patrick’s Day Parade is an annual tradition that celebrates Irish culture & heritage in a positive family atmosphere. The parade route for 2016 is essentially the same as last year, except going in the opposite direction. Check out the new route.

Tour Maple Hill Cemetery

Saturday at 2PM and 3:30 PM

The two free guided tours of Maple Hill Cemetery will be led by led by Jacquelyn Procter Reeves, author of Wicked North Alabama, and Robert Reeves of WHNT. Tours begin at 2 and 3:30 p.m. and start at the office by the cemeteryʼs front gate. This is a Madison County Reads event and a ll are welcome to participate.

Kick Off Youth Art Month

Sunday from Noon – 5PM

Youth Art Month is observed nationally each March to emphasize the value of art education for children and to encourage public support for quality school art programs. The exhibition will showcase nearly 200 works of art by youth in kindergarten through grade 12 in local schools. From 12 to 5 p.m. opening day, the museum will observe a Community FREE Admission Day.

St. Patrick’s Day Family Parade & Pet Walk

Dress your family in their lucky green, including Fido – this 2nd annual event is lots of fun! All are invited to walk in this family parade on the sidewalk down Hughes Road in Madison, from Discovery Middle School to Bob Jones High. Hosted by the 007 Venture Scouts.

Once again the Historic Park will feature stories from 19th century children’s literature and for a lively touch we’ve added yarn bombing, a popular world-wide craze where unexpected items are covered in decorative yarn.
