Downtown Madison (map) & Big Spring Park (map)

Lucky you! There are two opportunities to enjoy free live music this weekend! Kick off your weekend early Thursday night at the Gazebo Concerts in Madison hosted by the Madison Arts Council. Or… stretch your weekend a little longer on Monday night at Concerts in the Big Spring Park hosted by Huntsville’s The Arts Council Inc. Both are family-friendly and encourage kids, well-behaved dogs, picnics, and bug spray.

Friday at 6PM & 7:30 PM

Big Spring Park (map) & Village of Providence (map)

Not quite a double feature, but almost! There are two different ways you can watch a movie under the stars tonight. The first being Maleficent at 6:00 PM in Big Spring Park. Or if west Huntsville is more your stomping grounds, the Village of Providence will be showing Back to the Future at 7:30 on the green. Be sure to keep an eye on their Facebook Pages in case of sketchy weather – that’s where they’ll post updates.

Saturday & Sunday
Cost: $3 for ages 5-12, kids under 5 free, adults $5

Kitty lovers, UNITE! Over 100 pedigreed cats and household pets competing for awards in several judging rings each day of the North Alabama Feline Fanciers cat show. Breeds include Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Bengal, Sphynx, Cornish Rex, Japanese Bobtail, Havana Brown, Savannah, Tonkinese, Kurilian Bobtail, the Lykoi (the werewolf cat) and more. Proceeds benefit the Challenger House.

Don’t you want to be a part of Huntsville’s Largest Family Picnic? It will be held right before the first Grotto Light Concert at 6PM. So come out to Big Spring Park with your dinner baskets, family, and friends and help us to have the largest picnic in Downtown Huntsville!
