Need a Laugh? Shenanigans Comedy Theater Hosting a Free Drive-In Show for Kids

family in a car

We might be short on toilet paper, but one Huntsville non-profit business is making sure we aren’t short on laughs. Shenanigans Comedy Theatre is hosting drive-in comedy shows for Huntsville families and comedy fans. Just like a drive-in movie theatre, these performances will happen at a distance, while you watch from inside your car using a radio channel for audio. GENIUS!

Kimberly Wilson and Jessica Cotton were trying to find a way to lift people’s spirits and keep doing what they love to do – comedy. The Drive-In idea came from their 11 year-old, Chandler. There are two drive-in experiences to choose from, and the one for kids is totally FREE! Flatten the curve AND shorten the joy gap with these two great options.

Drive-In Comedy Shows at Shenanigans Comedy Theatre

The Rated G Kids Drive-Thru Show

When: Monday – Thursday from 6-8 PM, (weather permitting) until normal operations resume
Where: Shenanigans Comedy Theatre – drive to the back of the building like a drive-thru (map)
Cost: FREE, donations accepted but not required

This short 10-minute kid-friendly show will deliver giggles, goofs, puns, and Dad jokes straight to your car via your radio! Tune in to 97.5 FM for the audio to hear Turnip & Joletta’s highjinx.

There will be joke battles at each car. Both comedians will tell a joke and the car will vote for which joke was better, or maybe which joke was worse. There will be Dad Jokes, puns, knock knock jokes…. so they will be funny or groan-worthy, but kids love them!

The Rated R Drive-In Show for Grown Ups

When: March 27-28, at 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM both nights, (weather permitting) until normal operations resume
Where: Shenanigans Comedy Theatre Back Dock (map)

Patrons back their car into a parking spot and tune their radio to 97.5. Three comedians will perform 10-minute sets on the “stage”. Tune in before the show starts to hear additional information. This show will run 30-40 minutes. Please follow the signs to enter and exit the drive-in safely.
