A night full of music, dancing, and fun, Night to Shine is a stunning community event that’s special not because of the decorations or activities, but the attendees. On February 11, the Huntsville community will join-in a world-wide prom night event honoring individuals with special needs. Refuge Church, in partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation, will host the event which will include a Shine-Thru Parade at Huntsville Botanical Gardens as well as a Virtual Celebration “after party”.

Now in its eighth year, this event promises to be spectacular. Refuge Church Senior Pastor, Jason Parks, is excited for the event and says “[t]he purpose is simple. We want to celebrate our honored guests, encourage them and show them they are loved.”

As a way to show participants that love, the event will feature a Shine-Thru parade where each of the guests is made to feel special. When the Shine-Thru parade commences, Honored Guests (AKA participants) will join in ways that bring out their beauty, individualism and enthusiasm. As honored guests cross the red carpet, they can enjoy music, characters, gifts, cheering paparazzi, photography opportunities, dancing, lights, bubbles and more. Take a look at last year’s parades nationwide in the video below.

Everyone is King & Queen in this Kingdom!

In addition to enjoying a walk down the red carpet, guests will be given the royalty treatment at the close of the event. It’s a tradition that’s a highlight of the night.

“They will also each pick up a crown so they can be crowned king or queen in their home during the follow-up virtual celebration with Tim Tebow.”

The Virtual Celebration will be hosted by Tebow in a pre-recorded event that showcases Honored Guests walking the red carpet. This event is volunteer driven and there are many businesses and individuals who contribute to making it successful. Pastor Jason is grateful for the support of this one-of-a-kind night and says “[w]e are so thankful for the many volunteers and local community supporters who have joined us to make the Night to Shine: Shine Thru Parade a reality. This truly is a community effort.”
