Imagine yourself in a field of lavender bushes, the sun is gently smiling on your shoulders and the gentle smell of lavender and the singing of birds surrounds you. This and more is what you will experience at Lavender Wynde Farm just a short drive away in Harvest, Alabama.

This two acre U-Pick farm is open Fridays and Saturdays 10am-4pm in June by appointments and is $10 for a bushel of about 100 stems. They give you a plastic ring to fill to help you measure a bushel of lavender with rubber bands attached for easy tying off once full.

The pop Up shop on site has herbs to plant, soaps, lotions, lavender teas, sachets, chapsticks, lavender heat packs, necklaces and other goodies like lavender lemonade slushes for $2 and lavender ice cream $1.

Several bistro tables and chairs are spaced out throughout the garden for you to sit and enjoy the sights, smells and tastes of lavender.

Cool down from the summer heat with lavender lemonaide slushes, lavender ice cream and more at the Lavender Wynde Farm pop up shop.
Check out the Pop Up Shop for lavender themed treats.

Tips for Your Visit

  • No public bathrooms
  • Cards accepted
  • Wear boots, as previous rains may make the ground muddy.

When you walk up to the fields, there is a tent with a guide to give you scissors, plastic tube rings and tips on how to cut the lavender stems. At the check out register, you turn in your scissors and they are placed in a bleach bucket to sanitize before given to the next patron.

You can put your fresh lavender in water for a few days and then hang upside down to dry for a few weeks.
