Koo Koo Kanga Roo Performing “Libraries Rock!” Concert in Huntsville

Koo Koo Kangaroo

If you have a kid at your house in grades K-5 chances are good you already know songs by Koo Koo Kanga Roo.

This hilarious dance-pop duo from Detroit is described as “the Beastie Boys meet Sesame Street” and featured on the popular GoNoodle channel. And now they’re coming to the Rocket City for the Huntsville Madison County Public Library’s Summer Reading Celebration, “Libraries Rock!” on Saturday, July 21st, rain or shine!

We’re Coo-Coo for Koo Koo Kanga Roo!

Koo Koo Kanga Roo is the dance-a-long comedy show from Bryan and Neil, two friends who set out to experiment with live music and make it more fun. Armed with nothing more than an iPod, two mics, one giant rainbow and some gold sneakers, Koo Koo Kanga Roo puts on an all-ages dance party that invites everyone to join in.

Kids will love it.
Parents will love it.
It’s a WIN-WIN!

The subject matter of Koo Koo Kanga Roo’s songs cover a variety of topics kids love! Dinosaurs, letters of the alphabet, ninjas, food fights, fanny packs, hopscotch, slumber parties and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are just a few of our favorites. Get ready for the show by practicing your best dance moves & watching Koo Koo Kanga Roo on YouTube!

Libraries Rock!

This super fun event will also feature outdoor games, crafts, prize giveaways, and face painting. Local teen band, Catastropiece, will open for the main act beginning at 5:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to explore Lowe Mill for food and beverage options. Parking will be free. The HMCPL BookMobile will also be on site for kids and parents to tour.

If it’s raining, the show will be moved inside to Lowe Mill A&E’s Connector stage on the First Floor.
