Happy weekend, Huntsville!  As the weather warms up, there are more things happening outdoors and around the Tennessee Valley. Whatever you choose to do we hope you’ll wear a mask when you can’t distance yourself from strangers. It doesn’t protect you but it might protect them and that’s protecting all of us.

And if you’re thinking of doing some reading, we suggest looking into one of these books for kids…

Huntsville Weekend Fun (at a safe distance)

  • Work on this awesome Huntsville Summer Bucket List. Details
  • Slurp a summer peach slushie at Scott’s Orchard. Details
  • Sit on the field or in the bleachers at this Trash Panda Movie Night. Details
  • Or at this free Movie in the Park in Arab. Details
  • Or Lowe Mill’s Drive-In Movie series (PG-13). Details
  • Or this free drive-in movie happening at the MidCity District. Details
  • Celebrate summer at the June Jubilee on the mountain. Details
  • Cool off in one of the splashpads and parks but the rules are slightly new so if that’s in your plans for weekend check our post first. Details
  • Turnip & Joletta are back! Family Game Night is on at Shenanigans. Details
  • The Space and Rocket Center is open & their Playing with Light exhibit is super fun. Details
  • The Whimsical Woods is calling, plus it has new social distancing in place. Details
  • The Huntsville Botanical Garden is also open but be sure to read the new rules before heading out. Details
  • Feel like doing a little painting this weekend? Our friends at Spirited Art are continuing their popular take home kits all summer. Details
  • Want to hear some great socially-distant live music? Ally Free is performing at Stovehouse. Details
  • Are you taking a hike this weekend? We’ve got a great list of kid-friendly trails but be sure to look out for poison ivy. Details
  • Get your fill of fresh fruit and veggies by shopping at various local Farmers Markets. Details
  • Enjoy a Healthy Huntsville workout in the park this Saturday AM – J’que is AWESOME. Details
  • It’s Shred Day with the BBB for those of you doing some deep cleaning around the house. Details
  • Grab the SPF and go creek-stomping. Details
