Huntsville Botanical Garden Nature Academy offers outdoor learning for K-8

It’s 2020 and parents are looking for any and all ways to get their kids out of the house safely. Add on the *bonus* of actual learning and it’s a slam dunk!

That’s what makes programs like Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Nature Academy so ideal for this strange time. The academy provides monthly hands-on science classes to enrich STEM learning for students in grades K-8.  Registration is open to all homeschool, public school, and private school students in the area.

Nature Academy offers three seasons of three classes each. Every month, a new class will be offered covering a different nature science topic. These two-hour adventures are led by certified instructors and most experiences will be outdoors with very limited time inside.

Fall classes will include the exploration of plants from roots to seed; the creepy, crawly world of insects; and the chemistry of leaves. Each season offers three classes total offered over three months.
