Huntsville Botanical Garden Kicks Off Virtual Environmental Education Week

Earth Day

Earth Day, Arbor Day, and National Environmental Education Week are the nation’s largest celebrations of environmental education. This year, the Huntsville Botanical Garden is hosting daily virtual activities families can do together to commemorate!

April 20-24 is National Environmental Education Week and the Huntsville Botanical Garden are excited to celebrate with you! Plus, Earth Day is April 22 and Arbor Day is April 24 – that’s even more reason to celebrate.

How to Participate in Environmental Education Week

HBG will roll out a new activity daily, so be sure to visit hsvbg.org to see the latest. Each day will include an environmentally-themed story with a link for online reading if you don’t have the featured book in your library, fun facts you can share with your family, and activities that can be completed at home.

Let’s show Mother Earth how much our community loves her! Do you have colored chalk at home? Create a masterpiece on your driveway or sidewalk to encourage others to celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day, too. Include an uplifting message about what we can all do to protect our planet.
