One of our favorite ways to usher in the summer season in Huntsville is to suck on some mudbugs. You know – yabbies, mountain lobsters, crawdads, crayfish, or CRAWFISH! If summer for you means zydeco and the spicy smell of creole seasoning, don’t miss the 9th annual Heads-n-Tails Crawfish Boil at the VBC on May 18th!

A Family-Friendly Festival

Reasons why this is a great event for your whole family…

1. It’s FREE!

That’s right. Admission into the festival is totally free. You aren’t required to purchase a thing to listen to the music or participate in the activities. But if you want to eat, food ranges from $8-$20 depending on what you want. More Info

2. Grub that will make you say, OooooWEEE!

Be sure to bring your appetite – there’s a variety of Creole and Cajun dishes to sample. There will also be craft beer tastings and your favorite beverages available for purchase. More Info

3. There are fun things for kids to do.

Free kid’s activities include Gabrielle’s Facepainting and a variety of inflatable to jump on – PLUS a whole arcade onsite thanks to our friends over at Rocket City Arcade! More Info

4. You can cut a serious rug.

What’s a crawfish boil without festive live music? Curley Taylor and Zydeco Trouble brings their unique Louisiana sound to the festival from 5-8 PM. Yes, that IS a washboard with an accordion! More Info
