Hey, parents, how about a mom’s or dad’s afternoon out? You are invited to stop by the Bailey Cove Library to pick up a paintbrush and get out of your own way.
[sws_pullquote_right]Remember that sense of excitement when coloring with crayons or cutting & pasting were the best things EVER? Well, that kid that you used to be is waiting in line to take his or her turn again. [/sws_pullquote_right]
Remember that sense of excitement when coloring with crayons or cutting & pasting were the best things ever? Well, that kid that you used to be is waiting in line to take his or her turn again. And you have a lot to learn from that kid!
Join us once a month for Studio Arts @ the Bailey Cove Library – ignite your creative spark with like minds! Each session is a hybrid of learning, experimenting, and letting your creative side take over. Do you think you don’t even have a creative side? I dare you to show up and enjoy yourself, anyway.
With each class, we start with a slide show to get your imagination moving, then we energize our skill set with a hands-on demonstration of techniques, followed by free and guided time to let the magic math of Inspiration + Skills come out to play.
My name is Patsy Ducote, I am the Branch Manager of the Bailey Cove Library, as well as a trained and experienced artist, and I look forward to being your guide and coach through these sessions. Don’t overthink this – these classes are about the fun of discovery, maybe learning some new skills, guaranteed laughter, nothing more. And I suspect it might be the mental/emotional break you deserve.
Oh, and did I mention FREE? Thanks to the Bailey Cove Friends of the Library, all our supplies are provided for this glorified make & take. Classes are limited to 30 participants, ages 14 to adult, and sign-ups are required. Call 256-881-0257 to reserve your space in any of these cool classes listed below – see you @ your library!
