LGBTQ Resources for Families in Huntsville & North Alabama

Here at Rocket City Mom our mission is to make parenting in Huntsville easier. To that end we work hard to provide area parents with resources and information about events, activities and local organizations. If it’s something that local parents will find interesting, or something that makes families stronger, we share it here. There are many families in the Tennessee Valley who have someone in their lives – a parent, a child, a relative, or a friend – who is gay and they want to show their support and pride. We hope this list of LGBTQ resources will come in handy!

This list is not comprehensive, the focus is primarily on area resources for youth and their families, but if you see something you feel we’ve missed, feel free to leave in the comments.

The Huntsville Pride Parade will be Saturday, June 29th, 2019 from Noon – 2:00 PM in downtown Huntsville. Get more details about this family-friendly event and the parade route HERE. For more local Pride events, go HERE.

Note: Not ALL events are kid-friendly. Please research or ask the venue before attending.
