School is in session in Alabama and families everywhere are getting used to the new normal of virtual assignments, socially distanced classrooms, hybrid schedules, and the usual back-to-school madness. Parents and kids are going to need a break soon, and it’s time to look ahead to the upcoming school holidays! Labor Day and Fall Break is around the corner, and one beloved Alabama destination is offering a new getaway experience just for you – Camp McDowell’s Family Field Trips are the perfect solution for frazzled families – or even your “quaranteam”.

What’s Included in a Family Field Trip at Camp McDowell?

Forest bathing. Canoeing. Hayrides. Bird watching. Guided hikes. We all know how being in nature can make us feel. It can restore our mood, give us back our energy and vitality, refresh and rejuvenate us. What if there was a family getaway that provided all of that, plus fresh home-cooked meals, private cabins, and even live music entertainment – all while maintaining proper social distancing?

Can’t you already hear the soothing sounds of the water?
