Wilderness First Aid Workshop with Cain Creek Outdoors

Land Trust of North Alabama is partnering with Cain Creek Outdoors to offer a Wilderness First Aid course at Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve. This 16-hour course will provide you with the skills and confidence to assess and treat trauma and illnesses in the backcountry when help is more than an hour away.
This course will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. over two days. Please wear older clothing as all participants are offered a chance to play a “victim” during the training scenarios. All attendees must be at least 16 years old. Upon completion of the course, attendees will be presented with a certificate in Wilderness First Aid with Adult, Youth, and Infant CPR/AED that is valid for two years. There is also an option to add on an epi-pen certification.
When: Saturday, September 7-8 from 8:00-5:00 PM
