They welcome you to learn about the vast diversity of reptiles and amphibians that call Alabama home! Come join herpetologist Andrew Cantrell on a small adventure to see what we can find at Green Mountain Nature Preserve. The aim is to help you learn about these secretive animals, how to look for them safely for you and them, and what makes these species so special! Long pants and boots recommended. Bug spray and sunscreen is recommended, but not if you would like the opportunity to handle any of these species. (Land Trust Members ONLY)
