Set in the Ancestor’s graveyard and Central Park home, the Addams are a loving family with a bizarre fascination with death and all things dark and twisted.
Cold and sarcastic Wednesday Addams has wholeheartedly melted in love with a ‘normal’ boy, Lucas Beineke. She invites him and his typical, All-American parents over for dinner to meet the Addams Family. Afraid that her mother, Morticia, will not approve of the Beineke’s, Wednesday confides in her father, Gomez, to keep a secret from her mother. Conflicted, Gomez is left dealing with the burdening dilemma – should he betray his beloved, truth-seeking wife or betray his dear, trusting daughter?
Meanwhile, having secrets of their own, the Beineke’s struggle to also have ‘one normal night’. Despite the families’ opposing differences, Uncle Fester and the Ancestors fervently vow to let love prevail for Wednesday and Lucas.
With all this conundrum, will the families bury their secrets in despair or will they ‘move towards the darkness’ to release painful feelings that can transform their deepest emotions into powerful love?
