Southern Folk Herbalism – Cold & Flu
September 22, 2022 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM$55
Virus season was traditionally in the winter, generally after Christmas. But times have changed with the pandemic, and virus season is now year-round.
Herbs and other folk remedies can help us improve our health so that we fight off invaders better with less impact on our energy and health. This is especially important during the coming winter months when our immune systems become a bit sluggish.
Learn how to use herbal remedies against seasonal viruses with folk herbalist Phyllis D. Light. Herbs and other folk remedies can support the immune and respiratory systems and help us stay healthier or recover faster.
The class will discuss several beneficial herbs. You will be provided with a handout about the herbs as well as enough dried herbs to take home and make a healing tea of your own. You will also make an immune and respiratory herbal tea during the class as a demonstration and for everyone to taste.
At the end of the class, you will have a deepened knowledge of herbal resources and resilience to face life’s challenges.
This class is a part of the Hillfolk Farmacy workshop series.
When: September 22 | 6:00 PM
