Fayetteville Main Street presents the Slawburger Festival in Fayetteville, Tennessee–home of the Famous Slawburger.
The Downtown Square is the backbone of Fayetteville’s community. There are over 70 businesses in the Downtown District–restaurants, antique stores, florists, boutiques, home decor and furniture stores, a children’s clothing shop, medical spas, art galleries, AirBNBs, a pharmacy, and MORE! In addition to Fayetteville’s everyday merchants, the Slawburger Festival hosts a variety of vendors on the interior of the square from 11AM-6PM. There will be kids activities and face painting.
The Slawburger originated on Fayetteville’s square in the 1920s at Honey’s Restaurant which is still serving slawburgers today. The town has a rich history with the unique sweet and tangy mustard-based slaw served on an all-beef patty.
Since 2015, the festival has served as a way to share those stories, create new memories, or revisit old ones from the past. Come visit on April 15th at the Historic Fayetteville Downtown Square for the Annual Slawburger Festival for some tasty burgers and lots of fun for the whole family!
