Join as every Friday and Saturday as we explore our universe through hands-on learning labs. Each month, we will cover a new and exciting topic, but space is limited, so reserve your spot today!

September:
Life as We Know It – Living and Working in Space: Explore the differences between life on Earth and life in Space. Using a glove box, mix together different chemicals to determine which will make the best rocket fuel

October:
Landing on Mars – Dropping by: By 2030’s NASA plans to send the Orion/SLS to Mars with a manned crew. Learn about the rovers sent to Mars that have relayed images and information to help NASA prepare for this mission. Design and build a landing system that will safely drop an egg from the second floor into a designated landing site.

November:
To the Moon, Mars, and Beyond: Rockets are used by NASA to launch satellites and probes into space. Learn about the different types of fuel and discuss how Isaac Newton’s Laws of Motion propel a rocket. Build and launch a paper rocket.

December:
Asteroids, Craters, and the Moon: Examine the lunar landscape noting the craters and their varying sizes. Using different impactors determine a crater’s size, depth, and width.
