Honoring Our History Through Service: Family Service Project

Sat 1st @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Free

Join Black Kids Adventures as we close out Black History Month with a meaningful family service project at the historic Gladys Jane Motel, the first Negro motel in Huntsville, AL. This landmark was a vital stop for Black travelers during segregation and the first stop on our Urban Black History Hike.

In the spirit of community and resilience, we’re coming together to give back to this historic site, preserving its story for future generations. Families of all ages are welcome to lend a hand, connect with history, and make an impact. Supplies and snacks will be provided, and community service hours are available for those who bring a sign-off sheet.

Let’s celebrate Black history not just by learning it, but by actively preserving it. Join us as we continue the legacy of those who came before us, together.
